Whether you’re feeling a little blue, tense, stressed, anxious, or need some revitalizing, essential oils can help to brighten your mood!
There are several different types of essential oils you can use for aromatherapy. I love the smell of lavender and peppermint and use these regularly. Lavender, along with, ylang-ylang, rose, and sandlewood are calming and relaxing. I like to use lavender to help me de-stress. When I’m looking for a little boost, I use peppermint. Peppermint, along with lemon and grapefruit can help to uplift our energy.
Diffusers are a great way to add a relaxing scent to your environment. When I’m in need of some relaxation time after a long day, I add lavender oil to my diffuser and breathe in the calming scent. I’ve also added a few drops of lavender oil to my pillow (an old pillow case) to help me sleep at night. When I’m in need of a bit of energy to help me study, I like to infuse the room with the refreshing smell of peppermint.
It’s fun to test out different scents and combination of oils. Check them out for yourself to help you feel good and to boost your mood!
