Looking for an easy and delicious snack idea? Chickpeas (garbanzo beans) are a great source of protein, fiber and folate. You can add these to plenty of dishes but our favorite way to enjoy these little legumes is by roasting them in the oven to give them a fantastic crunchy texture! Yum!
You can either buy a can of chickpeas (we like Eden Organics) or go for dried chickpeas (usually in the bulk section). If you buy a can of chickpeas make sure to drain and rinse them first. To make them more easily digestible we suggest buying dried chickpeas and soaking them over night. Check out our blog post for further instructions on how to soak your beans!
- 2 cups cooked chick peas (or as many as you want to make)
- ½-1 tsp sea salt to taste
- Oil of choice (Coconut oil, grape seed oil or avocado oil all have a high smoke point and are best for baking)
